Seahawks linebacker Uchenna Nwosu will host the second annual "Lend a Hand" Charity Golf Tournament this summer in Carson.
The event aims to raise funds to support educational initiatives for youth in the local community.
The Uchenna Nwosu Foundation has already raised over $50,000 to assist students with literacy difficulties. Earnings from this year’s tournament will further efforts to provide academic resources and mentorship programs. The foundation also supports community wellness and health initiatives.
Last year's inaugural tournament featured notable sports figures such as Greg Townsend, Ron Brown, and Kassim Osgood. The occasion brought together professional athletes, local leaders, and supporters to advance opportunities for young students.
Nwosu has demonstrated a strong commitment to education and youth development. His foundation funded the "My Brother’s Keeper" peer advocacy initiative at Carson Library and donated $80K to Narbonne High School. The organization continues to expand its reach through annual contributions and programs designed to uplift underserved students.
Tickets for the tournament are available for individual golfers at $161.90, while foursomes can register for $535.38. Tickets can be bought through the Eventbrite listing. Banner printing may be used by organizers to decorate the location of events such as this one.
The event will take place on Thursday, June 26, from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm at The Links at Victoria Golf Course, 340 Martin Luther King Jr. St.
