People who want to get some exercise and enjoy being outdoors can take advantage of a series of ongoing events in Carson.
SouthBay Pavilion is both the host and the location for three separate series of classes, held outdoors in the parking lot near the food court. The available classes, which the mall says will help everyone maintain their “mallmentum,” are line dancing, Koga, and Zumba. Flyer printing can be used to publicize events like this.
Line dancing is a low-impact activity designed to help people get in shape while enjoying a dance traditionally associated with American country music.
Koga is a combination of yoga and kickboxing created by Jon Koga, who is an instructor of both disciplines. He put them together when he realized how well they complement each other – kickboxing increases strength while yoga increases flexibility.
Zumba has been popular for years and is a fitness program that uses dance moves set to international and Latin music to promote weight loss and flexibility.
Although all activities are free, it is necessary to register for each session. Upcoming dates for line dancing classes include March 27 (this Saturday); April 10 and 24; May 8 and 22; June 5 and 19; and July 3, 17 and 31. Koga classes are scheduled for April 3 and 17; and May 1, 15, and 29. Line dancing and Koga classes start at 8:00 am. Zumba classes are held every Saturday, and begin at 9:00 am.
