Carson pets and crafters to benefit from local market

A furry friend may be a great companion for the upcoming holidays, and at least 200 pets in need of a new home will be part of an upcoming Carson area event.

This year will see the 4th annual Home for the Pawlidays Pet Adoption and Craft Fair connect people with dogs, cats and other options. Open to the public for six hours, a wide assortment of rescue groups and crafters have been invited.

At the time of writing, there were still vendor spaces, which are all around 10 feet by 10 feet. A six-foot table is included in the booking fee, set at $100. As the function will take place indoors, pop-up canopies and tenting are not required.

Any animal shelter or other rehoming group that sets up shop for the day has been asked to ensure that the animals they bring are at least 8 weeks old, be neutered or spayed, have their vaccinations up to date and are healthy. Participants in a fundraiser may hand out promotional Pens or other premiums to help get the word out about their organization.

This chance to help make sure all Carson animals start their holiday season with a new and loving family of their own will begin at 10:00 am on November 11th. It will be held at the Long Beach Towne Center, and the final date to apply as a vendor is October 28th.
