Carson museum to provide special experience for young bookworms

Young ladies in Carson have been issued an invitation to attend a local event that will explore how Books have been crafted over time, and their moms or other important ladies in their lives are welcome to join too.

The International Printing Museum has scheduled a workshop for girls ages 10 and up, and it will provide an introduction to the Book Arts.

The activity will see the registrants rotate through the six stations that will be set up, and these will explore how books have been made across time, and in different cultures. Modern versions will be discussed as well, and everyone will be able to get some hands-on experience with pulp and paper making, as well as book binding, screen printing a tee shirt, and using an antique letterpress.

Lunch and snacks may be purchased on site.

A special workshop or other event may see organizers supply the attendees with merchandise to keep. Promotional Pens and other custom items can all be created by a printer, which will have options on offer for many types of occasions.

The International Printing Museum will be holding its Book Arts Day for Girls on May 18, 2024. It's recommended to purchase passes well in advance, and these may be found online. Tickets will not be available at the door.
