Carson museum to offer creative day for kids

This April, Carson kids will be the guests of honor for an event taking place at the International Printing Museum.

The museum has made plans to welcome youngsters for its Krazy Krafts Day for Kids, which will give them a chance to express their creative side. It will be filled with hands-on fun, and parents are encouraged to spend the day crafting and making discoveries along with their children.

When they arrive for the day, the guests will be able to visit a variety of crafting stations, and they will even get a chance to use a letterpress to make cards, bookmarks, and other keepsakes. Paper making, screen printing, and bookbinding will all be on the agenda, and everyone can try their hand at using one of the museum’s old fashioned typewriters. There will be special, docent-led tours, and tickets may be purchased in advance or at the door.

Kids often really enjoy hands-on learning, and activities that offer them a chance to do so may be marketed to the community in a variety of ways. A poster printing company will be able to lend a hand with some economical options.

The International Printing Museum will be holding its Krazy Krafts for Kids celebration on April 2. It is located at 315 West Torrance Boulevard, and tickets may be purchased through its website or on the day of the event.
