Carson museum to host fun for the whole family

Carson is home to a unique museum that offers a sneak peek into the past, present and future of the printing industry, and it has organized a special day with the younger set in mind.

The International Printing Museum celebrates the role printing has had in human history, and its Holiday Krafts Day for Kids is right around the corner. It will feature a wintery twist, and it will have hands-on fun for the whole family.

Those who participate in the day will be invited to try their hand at a variety of activities, and they will be able to learn while they enjoy themselves. They will have an opportunity to use the letterpress, make wrapping and other papers, craft bookmarks, and prepare a keepsake ornament. There will be vintage typewriters to try, and tours will be on offer as well. Admission is $10, and tickets may be reserved online or purchased at the door.

With the event being themed around printing, it is sure to be an opportunity for those looking for a career in printing services or graphic design to immerse themselves in the industry.

The International Printing Museum has scheduled its Holiday Krafts Day for Kids for December 17. It will be open to the public from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm. The museum is situated at 315 West Torrance Boulevard in Carson.
