Carson hosts environmental conference

The 2024 Climate Justice Conference will be in Carson this October, organized by California Green Works (CGW).

CGW focuses on enhancing urban life in California through environmental literacy, urban renewal, and green economy advocacy. The group promotes environmental justice, restores blighted areas, and advocates for green job opportunities. By partnering with community organizations, CGW fosters environmental stewardship, leadership, and resilience in disadvantaged communities.

This event will last seven hours and is designed to address the issue of climate alterations in vulnerable communities across the world, and the importance of technology in the advocacy for climate change.

In its attempt to attain climate justice, the conference will use the approaches such as increasing awareness, empowering neighborhoods using digital platforms, promoting resilience among community members, and mobilizing resources for support.

Those participating in the event will be allowed to share ideas, devise solutions, and take meaningful actions to tackle the problems and challenges of a rapidly changing environment. The conference is free for everyone to attend. Attendees can register for the event through the Eventbrite listing.

Organizers may use brochure printing to educate individuals about the aims of events such as this one, encouraging them to recycle the Brochures after use.

This conference is scheduled for October 15 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. The location will be Loker Student Union, 1000 East Victoria Street, Carson.
