Carson class to explore houseplant care

An introductory class has been planned for the Carson area that may be helpful to those considering becoming plant parents.

The Plants 101 workshop will introduce the basics of choosing and caring for a variety of houseplants, and the tips and techniques can be used with a variety of species. All levels of experience are welcome, although the function is primarily geared towards the beginner.

The session will cover topics such as watering, feeding, and general plant care, and choosing the right species for a particular location in a home will be discussed. The basics of pest control and repotting will be introduced, and everyone will have the chance to meet others who are getting started at indoor home horticulture. Tickets are $10, but this fee can be used for store credit for any purchase made at the venue on the day of the event.

A workshop focused on a hobby gives those who are new to a pastime an opportunity to both learn and meet others who share their interest. A flyer printing company can provide a variety of ways to help promote a local activity of this sort to the public.

This session planned with the newbie houseplant parent in mind will be offered on Saturday, April 13th. It will be getting started at 10:00 am at 2011 East 4th Street in Long Beach.
