Carson calls out to foodies

An upcoming event in Carson should put a smile on the face of all the city’s food fanatics.

The Urban Foodie Experience LA, which is held monthly, is coming to Carson in January. The event, which is the South Bay area’s biggest open-air food marketplace, showcases the work of chefs and business owners of color, featuring those who sell amazing food. The popular event usually attracts thousands of attendees.

Food is the star, of course, but it is not the only item available. In addition to food vendors, including those who sell vegan products, there will be vendors with clothing and other non-food items. Some of the food items to be found could include fish tacos, bread pudding, cupcakes, and Latin/Asian fusion.

Clean, family-friendly activities are planned, and there will be activities and games specifically for the children, as well as prizes and raffles. There will be live music as well, and a free, 15-minute fitness class is also available. Flyer printing can be used to create handouts for attendees, so they can locate specific vendors at events like this.

The Urban Foodie Experience LA comes to Carson on January 25, from 11:00 am until 5:00 pm, at the Carson Civic Center. The fitness class is scheduled for noon. The event is free, and suitable for people of all ages. There is also free parking available on the site.
