Scottsdazzle brings month of holiday activities
Scottsdale’s traditional holiday extravaganza, Scottsdazzle, will kick-off late in November.
Scottsdale Old Town begins the holiday season with Small Business Saturday. Locally owned galleries, boutiques, and retailers will be decked out in holiday finery, stocked with Christmas gifts and ideas and offering sales and specials.
Santa will be making his grand entrance at the Old Town Scottsdale Farmer Market in the morning from 9:00 am until noon. Kids can send their Christmas lists to Santa at the Letters to Santa Station and meet the jolly soul himself for free photos. Santa will look at the letters and send response letters back to the little ones before Christmas.
Many photos with Santa often go local stationery printers to be made into personal holiday cards and postcards.
Later that evening, starting at 7:00 pm, Scottsdazzle will continue with the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony and Sing-Along.
Scottsdale revelers can take a stroll along the Scottsdale Waterfront, admire the holiday lights and displays, and join in caroling. MusicaNova Orchestra will be playing the Christmas carols and guests can stop for cocoa, or coffee and a bite of holiday goodies.
Cart drivers will take riders on a Prancer’s Puzzle Ride all month long. Participants will follow clues to find Santa’s naughty and nice list.
Other events during December include Ho-Ho-Hoedown, Old Adobe Mission live nativity, Holiday Lights at Railroad Park, painting parties, yoga classes, and scavenger hunts.
Scottsdazzle kick-off will be Saturday, November 27.
