R&B vocalist headlines Scottsdale venue

Scottsdale’s Ravencroft venue will host a performance by Sandra Bassett this September.

Known as the local “Queen of Motown,” Bassett’s performance will kick off the Jazzbird Nights series of concerts.

Bassett’s singing ranges from soul, jazz and blues to R&B and Motown, among other genres.

Known for her high-energy performances, the Phoenix-based singer is originally from Detroit, the very city that originated the Motown musical aesthetic. Having grown up listening to the R&B label’s most influential artists, she developed a versatile vocal range that pays tribute to those artists.

Not only is Bassett experienced in singing, but she is also a multi-instrumentalist, performing on the piano and saxophone during her shows. Meanwhile, a full band backs up her musical offerings.

The concert includes options to purchase dinner plates and specialty drinks. The food is prepared by the venue’s executive chef in collaboration with a catering partner, featuring a handcrafted menu intentionally made to pair with the music on offer.

There is also a variety of seats to choose from, ranging from $35-$60 depending on their proximity to the stage.

Musical performances like this may choose to use printing services to create music sheets, promotional Posters and marquees.

Jazzbird Nights: Sandra Bassett is happening on September 4 at 7 pm, with doors open at 6 pm, and runs until 9 pm at Ravenscroft at 8445 E Hartford Dr in Scottsdale.
