What's Happening in Scottsdale, AZ…

Scottsdale will be red, white, and cool for July 4

Scottsdale’s 4th of July Celebration, now in its 10th year, will be coming to Westworld next week. The evening will begin with the National Anthem and Presentation of Colors.

Copper State Rodeo Company will be providing a bull riding rodeo, and kids will want to sign up for the mutton busting. Wanna-be knights can take medieval Times Jr. Knight training under the direction of the organization’s current active knights.

Pictures of children getting red-white-and-blue graphic designs painted on their faces at events such as this often go to grandparents.

A group of 14 finalists will be gobbling sliders to win a grand prize in the Cold Beer and Summer Slider Eating Contest Championship. Also on the subject of food, M Culinary will be holding its annual backyard BBQ.

Circus performers will wow the crowd with their daring act performances, and everyone may participate in games such as cakewalks and musical chairs. The 4th Annual Parade of Heroes will be honoring brave men and women across six categories.

Touted as the “largest fireworks display in Scottsdale history,” the event will end with a bang beginning at 9:00 pm.

Indoor Backyard Barbeque tickets are $50 per adult and $30 for kids ages 5 to 10. Indoor access without food is $25, Polo Field tickets are $45 per car, and fireworks viewing only is $25 per car.

Festivities will take place on July 4 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Westworld, 16601 N Pima Road.
