Scottsdale holds winter music festival

Arizona Musicfest’s 2020 Winter Fest is coming to Scottsdale toward the end of January.

The festival will be a series of 19 concerts performed over a six-week period at various North Scottsdale venues. Special renowned guest artists will headline for Broadway, jazz, classical, and opera performances.

Under the Street Lamp will start the festival on Saturday, January 18 at 7:30 pm with American Radio Songbook classics. Glen Burtnik’s Summer of Love Concert will come next on Monday, January 20 at 7:30 pm. This will be a nostalgic evening of music from the Woodstock generation. Tony Danza will take the stage on the 24th and a Young Musicians Winter Concert will perform on Sunday, January 26 at 2:00 pm. For, Monday, January 27, the John Pizzarelli Trio will honor Nat King Cole, and Chris Botti will perform on Friday, January 31.

Performances in February will include Back to Bacharach, Mozart Group, The Hot Sardines, Michael Feinstein, Steep Canyon Rangers, and Michael Bolton.

Ann Hampton Callaway will sing from the Linda Ronstadt Songbook, One Night in Memphis will remember the music of Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, and Elvis and The Official Blues Brothers Revue will be the lineup for March. The Arizona Musicfest 2020 Winter Fest will run from January 18 through March 13.
