Scottsdale Fall Festival returns

The annual Scottdale Fall Festival will be held in mid-September, with a big highlight being the parade on the Saturday.

A 5k run/walk and a 10K run will take place from 9:00 am to noon on Saturday. Registration is $25 and the course will begin at the gazebo and go through the historical district. An after party will be behind 224 Pittsburgh St. and will feature awards, free drinks, pizza, and race gear giveaways.

Later that afternoon, beginning at 3:00 pm, there will be a Scottie Color Run at Loucks Park, 527 N. Chestnut Street. Registration will run from 2:00 pm to 2:30 pm and costs $30 per individual.

The annual car show will be held Sunday from 9:00 am to noon at the Rite-Aid parking lot. Awards will be presented at 3:00 pm. An Antique Motorcycle show will be in the Graft car lot.

Contests will include a cornhole tournament, chalk contest, and a Rain Gutter Regatta. Live entertainment will be located at the gazebo on the Somerset Trust Company Children’s Stage and The Country Stage. Local artisans will be selling handmade crafts, and ethnic and local foods will be available for purchase.

Artists who participate in events like this often slip custom business cards in with purchases.

The Festival will be Friday, September 15 from 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm; Saturday, September 16 from noon to 10:00 pm; and Sunday, September 17 from noon to 8:00 pm.
