Scottsdale enjoys June Days
With the out-of-towners gone, Scottsdale residents may leisurely enjoy a month of activities geared just to them, with June Days coming up.
Old Town Scottsdale will have stores, art galleries, art centers, and museums open. Locals are encouraged to support these local businesses, with more than 60 events planned.
The Farmers’ Market will offer breakfast, and Scottsdale gym 'barre3' will have a summer movement series on Saturdays. The Museum of Art will hold its Trivia Night on June 13. The Glow UP: Sound Bath at Sunset is on June 20, and the Squidsoup Summer celebration follows on June 27.
The Squidsoup plus Infinite is an artwork installation made up of hundreds of colored illuminated spheres, each emitting a stringed instrument tone. As the clusters move and flow to air currents, the result is an immersive symphony of color and light.
The Scottsdale Public Library will offer Live to 100 on June 14, Magic and Illusions on June 21, and Taiko Drums on June 28, all of which are Saturdays.
On Thursdays from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm, The Scottsdale Gallery Association will have a Gold Palette Art Walk through Old Town's two museums and 28 galleries.
Cities that support long events like this often have pictures taken during the activities. These then go to local print shops to be added to the visitor brochure printing for the following year.
