Scottsdale community comes together for family fun run
Many Scottsdale individuals and families will be signing up for the Childhelp Wings Trick or Trot Family Fun Run coming toward the end of October. The event will have one-mile and 2.8-mile options.
The walk/run will be a fundraiser to aid children that have been neglected or abused and proceeds will be specifically funneled to the Childhelp Speak Up Be Safe program and the National Child Abuse Hotline.
Candy and games will be available at each hole around the golf course. A raffle, music, snacks, and refreshments will be waiting for participants at the finish line.
Individual registration will be $25 and tickets for two, three, four, or five-person families (not including children 12 and under) will be $50. Children 12 and under will not need to register.
Many registrants will be fundraising by asking their extended family members, neighbors, friends and co-workers for donations.
Sponsorships include the Skeleton Tee at $1,000, the Zombie Zone at $2,000, the Ghost Racer at $3,000, and finally the Shining Title at $5,000. Each Ghost Racer and Shining title sponsor will have its logo design placed on signage at specific holes around the course. Other donations or corporate gifts can be made online.
