Scottsdale celebrates Italian roots with festival


The Sixth Annual Italian Festival of Arizona is coming to Scottsdale this week. The event will be presented by the Italian Association of Arizona as a platform to promote Italian businesses, artists, initiatives and cultural activities.









February 22nd from 6 pm to 9 pm, will be “Opera Under the Stars”. Tickets ($59) will include a variety of cheeses, bread and Italian cold cuts, Italian wine samples such as Super Tuscan, Pinot, Grigio and Prosecco, and a silent auction. Johnny Huerta, A Ziarella and Sbandieratori di Asta will be the entertainment and Caffio Espresso will provide a complimentary espresso bar. Every ticket will also include a door prize entry and admission to one festival day. Selected cars from the Ferrari Club will be on display.





The Festival proper will be February 23rd from 11 am until 9 pm and February 24th from 11 am until 5 pm. The $10 tickets will get access to the museum, entertainment, festival grounds and an opportunity to win prizes in the drawing. Entertainment will be Steve Ansel and the Jackson Street Band, ASTA, A Ziarella, and the Phoenician Tenors. Food and beverages will be available for purchase.





Guests at events such as these usually like to get flyers and business cards from the vendors and artists in order to patronize them later.





The Italian Festival of Arizona and “Opera Under the Stars” VIP Party will be at Piazza del Southbridge, 7114 East Stetson Drive in Old Town.
