What's Happening in Scottsdale, AZ…

Long-running art fest makes Scottsdale stop

Rain or shine, the 45th annual Scottsdale Arts Festival will once again be celebrating the performing, visual, and culinary arts next month by presenting 175 artists from around the U.S. and Canada.

Exhibits have been carefully selected by jury. Also, two stages will feature continuous live entertainment and music performances.

Gourmet food from local venders will be available, while guests will have the opportunity to enjoy the interactive art activity provided by Scottsdale Public Art. The newly commissioned art work, Shifting Sand Land, is the creation of artist Bobby Zokaites.

Children will want to experience the hands-on creative activities in the events’ family area called Imagine Nation. Also, the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art will be offering free admission during the festival. Brochure printers for Scottsdale’s promotional bureau will surely want to get their photographers out for this popular art event. An online auction of original art will benefit the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts.

The festivities will be held March 13 through 15, from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm on Friday and Saturday and from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm on Sunday at the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts, 7380 E. Second Street, Scottsdale. Free parking will be available along Second Street and Drinkwater, Brown and Wells Fargo Avenues. Admission will be $10 for one day of $15 for two days, and children will be free.
