Local venue to hold horse championships
All Scottsdale horse lovers will not want to miss the 2015 Region 7 Championship Arabian Horse Show. This year’s show will surely be hard to beat as last year’s show was the biggest AHA Regional show in the U.S. and Canada. This event is free to the public.
Three divisions will be showing in three venue areas. The main ring classes – those in halter and performance divisions will be held in the Equidome. The arenas south of the Equidome will hold the Working Western divisions. These will include all cow horse classes, as well as the trail and reining classes. The eastern areas of the venue will show the sport horse division. This will be the dressage, jumping, sport horse in hand, and sport horse under saddle classes. Dale Chavez Buckles will be awarded in each Regional Championship Class. Winners will want to get pictures of themselves, their horses, and their buckles for later poster printing.
The venue will also have a commercial exhibit area inside the Equidome for guests to view and shop for anything horse related, including clothing, art, riding apparel, and jewelry. More than 20 exhibitors will be on hand to answer questions and offer merchandise.
The event will run from April 23 to April 26 at WestWorld, 16601 N. Pima Road, Scottsdale. The first showing will begin at 8:00 am.
