Holiday season brings light show and puzzle rides
The holiday season here in Scottsdale will be rife with activities including Prancer’s Puzzle Rides, and Winter Wonderland Arizona.
Hosted by Puzzle Rides Scottsdale, Prancer’s Puzzle Rides will be holiday scavenger hunts on chauffeured golf carts. Hijacked by Elves will be a 90-minute hunt for Santa’s naughty and nice list. Puzzlemaster Elves will be ferrying groups of five through the scavenger hunt. Jingle Bar Hop will be a two-hour tour to three local bars to find the special festive drink of each bar. Holly-Jolly Holiday Relay will be a two-hour event where members of the group are mixed into new groups four times to find Christmas clues. Rides will be available until the end of the year.
Also, Winter Wonderland Arizona, now in its 35th season, is a dazzling holiday light show at Chris Birkett’s private home. The over 250,000 computer lights are synchronized to pyrotechnics and music to displays such as a three-story castle, cannons blasting bubbles and snow, an island of Misfit Toys, and a projected twinkling show. Although the event is free donation boxes will be at the exit to defray cost.
Owners of holiday displays like this often have pictures and videos taken during the event. The photos often go to stationery printers to made into personalized Christmas cards.
Winter Wonderland Arizona will run from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm December 6 through 31 at 8414 E. Valley Vista Drive.
