What's Happening in Scottsdale, AZ…

Halloween events come to Scottsdale

Halloween is coming and many Scottsdale children and their parents will be enjoying the season by attending MacDonald’s Ranch’s Pumpkin Patch and a Halloween Bash at McCormick Stillman Railroad Park.

MacDonald’s Ranch will open next Friday, October 1 and will feature lawn games like Connect Four, Conk the Crow, and Jenga. Guests can also enjoy panning for gold, meandering through the hay bale maze, driving pedal cars, and petting animals in the petting zoo. Some activities, such as pony and train rides and the mechanical bull, will require small fees. Pumpkins may be purchased for $4 to $40 at the pumpkin patch and concessions will be available for purchase.

On Halloween day itself, kids are invited to wear their Halloween finery and bring goodie bags to go trick-or-treating in the Pumpkin Patch.

Also, a Halloween Bash will be at McCormick Stillman Railroad Park, 7301 East Indiana Bend Road and will include pumpkin decorating, a costume contest, trick-or-treating stations, and a character meet-and-greet. Kids can entertain themselves in the bounce houses and attendees can buy raffle tickets for prizes. Local restaurants will provide samples of Halloween-themed food and drink. A photo booth will be available for families wishing to have commemorative pictures taken.

Local businesses will have activities, balloons, and entertainment at their booths, and will add promotional products, coupons, and other goodies to event swag bags.

Tickets will be $30 per four-member family, and a special Halloween train ride will require separate admission.

The Halloween Bash will be Sunday, October 24 from 3:00 to 5:00 pm.
