Halloween brings candy, fun and balloons to Scottsdale
All Scottsdale ghost and goblins need to spruce up their costumes and get ready for the upcoming 4th annual Salt River fields Balloon Festival Spooktacular 2014.
No fewer than 30 hot air balloons will be part of an evening glow, while trick-or-treaters will be indulged with over 2,000lb of candy.
An evening glow is an event at which all the balloons stay on the ground and visitors can get up close. Each balloon will be a trick-or-treat station. Tethered Balloon rides may be available if the weather conditions are favorable and will be on a ‘first come, first served’ basis. Balloons and Halloween should make interesting and colorful subjects for poster printing or postcard printing.
The Spooktacular will also have live music, a vendors’ market, and food and drinks. There will also be a haunted house and a haunted trail for the teens, a Kids Zone for the little ones, and fireworks for everybody. Some activities, including the balloon rides, AZ Scream Park Haunted House, and the Kidszone, will have additional fees. Vendors’ retail items and refreshments must be purchased as well. Parking is free, though.
The event is scheduled for Friday and Saturday, October 24 to 25, from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm, at Salt River fields at Talking Stick, 7555 N Pima Road, Scottsdale. Since the balloons are inflated at sunset, they will last until approximately 8:45 pm to 9:15 pm.
