City to eat, drink, and be merry
Scottsdale locals might want to get their taste buds ready for the 37th Anniversary of the Scottsdale Culinary Festival will be coming soon.
Typically, the festival draws over 40,000 people to its 20 events featuring food from more than 100 restaurants. This is the Scottsdale League for the Arts’ primary fundraiser.
Every evening of the 10-day event will have at least one culinary experience. From the Opening night’s Culinary Countdown, the following night’s Chocolate and Wine Experience, to the Bubbles and Bliss party, the Burger Battle, and the Chef Dinner Series, there promises to be something for every palate. Businesspeople will want to remember to bring their digital business cards for exchanging with other attendees.
The last two afternoons of the event will feature the festival’s signature event, the Great Arizona Picnic. Guests will have an opportunity to stroll through gardens and fountains sampling tidbits from more than 50 local restaurants. Also along the way, top chefs will be holding cooking demonstrations, and live musical performances will be on the three stages. Among the other happenings during the “picnic” will be an Epicurean Expo (appliances, cookware, and knives exhibits and demos) and a Family Zone featuring carnival games.
The event will run from April 7 to 12 at the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts, 7380 E. Second Street, Scottsdale.
