Arts center has performances in-person and online
Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts will present many of its November performances in-person and online.
In the Virginia G. Piper Theater, 7380 E 2nd Street, on November 13 from 8:00 pm until 10:00 pm, the Center’s Jazz Lounge Series will have an evening of the Valleys’ preeminent jazz musicians performing “Life Filled with (Stevie) Wonder.”
On November 13 and again on 14, the Movement Source Dance Company will present Reconnect! The Parking Lot Dance Project. The 30-minute innovative exhilarating dance experience at the upper level Scottsdale Civic Center Parking Garage 3839 N Drinkwater Boulevard will be enjoyed by guests sitting in their cars. Tickets will be $39 per car and performances will start at 7:00 pm.
A Tribute to Doris Day called “With a Song in My Heart” will be from 7:30 pm until 9:30 pm at the Virginia G. Piper Theater.
Hooray for Harpywood will be from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm at the Virginia G. Piper Theater. The performance will be a comedic view of how films are scored. David Ice, a professional harpist, and film editor will give an informative and interesting program that covers the nuts and bolts of the scoring process.
