Arizona Fall Championship returns to Scottsdale

The Arizona Quarter Horse Association will host its annual Arizona Fall Championship Show and Pinnacle Circuit at Westworld of Scottsdale in late September. Admission will be free.

The show will feature cowhorses, roping, Best of the West Reining, and Ranch Riding Bonanza. AQHA Cutting will hold roping and cattle classes.

The championship activities will take place at the East North Hall Riding Pad, Equine Chronicle Arena North Halls 1 and 2, arenas 3 and 4, the Equidome Paddock, Markel Insurance Arena Equidome, and South Hall. All days will begin with warmups.

Youth/Open and Amateur Halter, and youth showmanship, pleasure horsemanship, and western riding competition will start the championship on Saturday, September 26, along with the After Youth Showmanship trail, and interscholastic competition. Trophies will be awarded to Performance Halter Horses, over all Grand Champion Halter Horse, and performance classes such as Ranch Rail and Futurity classes. The Pinnacle Circuit events begin a few days later.

Awards and prizes for both events include high point saddles, western outerwear, gift certificates, jeans, boots, and shirts.

Vendors hawking food and equine paraphernalia will be found both inside the Equestrian Complex and at various designated outside spaces around the show arenas. Vendors at events like these often bring business cards for potential repeating business.

The Arizona Fall Championships are from September 26 through 29, and the Pinnacle Circuit is from October 1 through 4. Both will take place at Westword of Scottsdale, 16601 N Pima Road.
