The 17th annual Hullabaloo will be coming to Flagstaff in early June.
The two-day event will feature two stages with live music from groups such as Mitchum Yacoub, Onus B Johnson, and Ropsoado.
A giant puppet parade will have 10-to 15-feet tall hand-built animated puppets wheeled or carried through the grounds daily. These creations come in the Forms of mythical and whimsical creatures, oversized animals, cultural or environmental motifs and community-themed figures. The parade will also include costumed performers and stilt walkers.
A costume contest will be open to families, groups, kids, adults and anyone in costume.
Winners of costume contests often have pictures taken during the event and take them to local Print shops to be added to family Calendars and newsletters.
Decorated trikes, bikes, and scooters meander around the park and downtown blocks with festive costumes, group themes, and recycled material art in the bike parade. This parade usually occurs early on Saturday morning.
The venue will also feature a giant kids' area, photo booth and craft, food and drink vendors.
Tickets will be free to the first 250 visitors who bring three or more food items for the local food pantry. Day general advance admission will be $21.96 for adults, $9.56 for kids for young kids and $13.69 for teens.
Hullabaloo will take place June 6th, from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm and 7th from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm at Wheeler Park, 212 W. Aspen Avenue.
