Flagstaff film makers and storytellers flock to film festival

The Flagstaff International Film Festival will be returning for two days in early August.

FIFF will present the best of independent cinema. The event will also present Question and Answer sessions, networking events, and free workshops. One such masterclass workshop will be given by Carolyn Gair. Ms. Gair will focus on the art of visual storytelling through comedy, emotion and timing. Her workshop will take place Sunday, August 2nd from 10:00 am to noon at the Theatrikos.

Filmmakers will be checking in at the Meet and Greet in the Beer Garden at Dark Sky Brewing Co., 103 W Birch Avenue from noon to 10:00 pm on Friday, July 30th. Saturday, August 1st will begin with Coffee Connections at the Juice Pub. The first feature film will be Donostia and that will be followed by Arizona Stories, Arizona Made Block 1, Documentaries, horror and Movie Trivia at the Theatrikos, 11 W Cheery Avenue.

Sunday. August 2nd will begin with Coffee Connections. A foreign language film will begin the screenings at the Theatrikos and that will be followed by Comedy and Drama, and Animation/Fantasy and Sci-Fi. Arizona Made Block 2 will take place at the Orpheum Theater, 15 W Aspen Avenue. The Awards ceremony will be at the Dark Sky Brewing Co. and A Filmmaker After Party will run afterward.
