Flagstaff attends state of city breakfast

Flagstaff government, business leaders and residents will be attending this year's State of the City Address coming in mid-January.

Presented by the Greater Flagstaff Chamber of Commerce in partnership with Wecom Fiber, the morning will begin at 7:30 am with check-in and breakfast. A one-hour program will begin at 8:00 am featuring Mayor Becky Daggett who will discuss her vision for Flagstaff development and growth, progress on city initiatives and available community opportunities. Mayor Daggett is especially interested in affordable housing and forest restoration.

Mayor Daggett holds a Masters Degree from Northern Arizona University and majored in Sustainable Communities. She has been the mayor of Flagstaff since 2022 and has led local art, leadership and food distribution non-profits. She was also the first Business Retention and Expansion Manager for the city.

She presently is involved in civic leadership, a US Mayors' conference, an education roundtable, an end childhood hunger alliance, and climate organizations. She also has a Mayor's Institute for City Design fellowship at Harvard Graduate School of Design.

Admission will be $60 for Chamber members, $75 for non-members and $35 for city employees.

People who attend events like this often bring business cards and use some of the time as networking opportunities.

This year's Flagstaff State of the City Address will be January 16th at Little America Flagstaff, 2515 E Butler.
