A Chandler dog park is closing for a few weeks for maintenance and other work.
The Nozomi Dog Park, based in West Chandler, is currently closed so general maintenance can be performed. In addition, turf reestablishment will be undertaken. Crews from Chandler Park Maintenance will be fertilizing, topdressing, aerating, and reseeding areas that are currently bare of turf. Landscape maintenance and repairs to the irrigation system will be made at this time as well. Poster printing can be used to provide Signs warning of closures like this.
People and their canine friends who enjoy Nozomi Dog Park still have three alternative parks they can use instead. The first is the Snedigar Dog Park, at 4500 S. Basha Road. The park is open every day from 6.00 am until 10.30 pm, except Wednesdays, when the park is closed so maintenance can be performed. The hours of closure are 6:00 am until 2:30 pm.
The second alternative is the Shawnee Dog Park, at 14;00 West Mesquite Street. This park is open Mondays through Saturdays, from 6:00 am until 800 pm. The hours on Sunday are 9:00 am until 8:00 am. Shawnee Dog Park is closed all day for maintenance on Tuesdays.
The third option is the Paseo Vista Dog Park, located at 3850 South McQueen Road. The park is open from 6:00 am until 10:30 pm every day except Thursday, when it is closed between 6:00 am and 2:30 pm for maintenance.
The park will reopen on August 20.
