She has starred in film, television, and is constantly in demand on Broadway, where she has enjoyed great success interpreting Stephen Sondheim's works. She is particularly remembered for her performances in “Sunday in the Park with George,” “Into the Woods,” and “Follies.”
Her work on the stage has earned her seven Tony nominations, and nine Drama Desk Award nominations. She has won two Tonys and three Drama Desk Awards, while also appearing on the cast albums of several shows, four of which have won Grammys.
Her current concert tour allows her to present the material she knows so well—Broadway show tunes. A review of one of her concerts said that she presented an enjoyable evening that featured a:

Peters will appear on March 7, at the Chandler Center for the Arts on North Arizona Avenue. The doors open at 7:30 pm, and attendees will be able to enjoy Peters' first appearance in Chandler. Banner printing can be used to decorate the venue for occasions like this.
