An event exclusively for women is scheduled for Chandler.
The 2021 SHE Power Half Marathon & 5K is designed to help women of all abilities and ages realize their own power. The race allows women to celebrate their determination, beauty, and strength while enjoying the best of their community. The race takes place in Chandler's downtown, which is home to boutiques, restaurants, art galleries, City Hall, the Center for the Arts, and a collection of public art, as well as a tree-lined plaza.
The two races start 15 minutes apart, with the half marathon starting at 7.30 am, and the 5K, which includes those who prefer to walk the course, at 7.45 am. The race is a USATF Certified Half-Marathon Course, and all participants will receive a finisher's medal; a race t-shirt or tank top; professionally photographed shots of the race, which participants may download free; and access to the SHE Power Open House for 2021. In addition, everyone who takes part will get a long-stemmed rose, and to cap things off, cake.
There will be portable toilets at various points along the course, and water stops will have both water and Gatorade. Organizers ask that anyone with special dietary needs bring their own supplies.
The SHE races are scheduled for March 7, 2021. Banner printing can be used to create markers for outdoor events like this.
