Notes from Neptune comprises Thomas Love and Scott Worstell, both of whom have more than 30 years in the music business. Love is most comfortable on alto sax, but also plays baritone and soprano sax. In addition to his instrumental prowess, Love also handles vocal duties and has been compared to Prince, Ed Sheeran, Marvin Gaye, and Bill Withers.
Scott Worstell plays nylon-string guitar, focusing on flamenco and classical styles, but with a bit of jazz, rock, and pop included. Like Love, he is also a vocalist who has drawn comparisons to big names like Harry Connick Jr., Pink Floyd, and Sting. The duo has been playing throughout the region for about nine years, described as having the ability to make listeners hear music in a new way, whether they are listening to old favorites, or new compositions.
They play everything from classic rock from the 1980s, to Motown, to contemporary, to jazz, as well as their own material.
