Hands-on science event returns to Chandler

The Chandler Innovation Fair is returning to Dr. A.J. Chandler Park this winter to celebrate hands-on science with local students and businesses.

The free event represents a partnership between the Chandler Unified School District and the City of Chandler. It brings together local businesses, artists, students, and innovators showcasing local hands-on science, including through interactive demos.

The Chandler Innovation Fair is intended to introduce young people to the STEM fields. The event also holds a competition for K-12 schools. During last year’s event, there was a three-way tie for the high school category winners between the Arizona College Prep High School, the Hamilton High School STEM Club and the Valley Christian High School.

Some of the school demonstrations on display last year included Valley Christian High School showing off its three custom-built robots and Santan Jr. High’s booth where students could create artwork through chemical reactions.

This year’s exhibitors include the Arizona Science Center, Andersen Junior High School, Arizona State University and Navarette Elementary. There will also be food vendors, including Amigos AZ, Wiki-licious, and Minburi Thai.

Community events like these may choose to use flyer printing and poster printing as affordable promotional tools.

The 14th annual Chandler Innovation Fair comes to Dr. A.J. Chandler Park at the Stage Plaza on Saturday, February 22 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
