Born in Knoxville, Tennessee, Rodney Atkins has worked hard for his success. His first single made it onto the charts in 1997, but it was not until 2003 that his debut album, “Honesty,” was released. The title track “Honesty (Write Me a List)” went to number 4 on the country music chart.
Three years later, he released album two, titled “If You're Going Through Hell.” Two of the songs from this album were major successes, each topping the country music chart and remaining number one for four weeks. Its title track was named the top country song for 2006, and in 2007, another album track, “Watching You,” was given that same honor.
He has continued to put both singles and albums on the charts, and has been nominated numerous times by both the Country Music Association and the Academy of Country Music. In 2006, ACM named him “Top New Male Vocalist.”
A review of Atkins in performance says:
“I've seen Rodney a half dozen times at this point, and he never disappoints. This night was no different.”
Atkins will appear on July 23 at 8:00 pm, in an Ovations Live! event, held at Wild Horse Pass, located in Chandler. Poster printing can be used to create publicity for events like this, and to generate possible souvenirs for fans to take home.
