Country greats coming to Chandler

One of country music's most popular groups is coming to Chandler.

The Gatlin Brothers, with Larry Gatlin in the lead, have been popular since they first began performing. They sing with the type of close harmony made popular by performers like the Everly Brothers, and had a number of hits on the charts in the 1970s and 1980s.

Larry Gatlin was the first of the trio to meet with solid success, performing first in Las Vegas, and then relocating to Nashville. Once there, his work impressed Fred Foster, an executive at Monument Records. In 1972, Foster offered Larry Gatlin a contract. By then, Larry had already asked his brothers, Rudy and Steve, to join him in Nashville and act as his backing group.

In 1979, the Gatlin Brothers officially formed, and among other accomplishments, they opened, and began performing in, their own theater in 1993. They divided their time between the theater, which is in Branson, Missouri, and appearances in Las Vegas.

A review of the Gatlin Brothers in concert says:

“Have seen this trio many times, starting in the ‘70s. Their talent is still just as pure and real as it was then.”

Brochure printing can provide programs for events like this. Larry Gatlin with the Gatlin Brothers will be appearing at the Chandler Center for the Arts, but the date has yet to be confirmed by the center. Fans should check the venue occasionally for updated information.
