A Chandler event is set to get the fun rolling, and everyone is invited to don their bowling shoes and head to a local alley to be part of the excitement.
The RAD Bowl-a-Thon will be on offer in early August, and it will be held at AMF Chandler Lanes. Monies raised will be used by Recreation and Athletic for Individuals with Disabilities (RAD) to fund its programming, which works to make sure everyone has access to sport and recreational activities, no matter what their challenges may be.
When people arrive at the alley for the fundraiser, they will check in and have the chance to get in some practice. Those interested can sign up as part of a team or on their own, and those who do so before Sunday, July 20 will receive a free T-shirt with a jaunty graphic design. The registration fee is $30 each, and guests are asked to collect donations to bring along with them on the day of the activity.
As well as the chance to lend a hand by bowling, the organizers have set up a sponsorship program for the local corporate community. The donation of Corporate Gifts in kind to offer as prizes will also be welcomed.
The RAD Bowl-a-Thon will get the fun rolling with the practice session starting at 11:45 am on Saturday, August 3. Bowling will begin at 12:00 pm.
