Chandler class to explore natural remedies

There are many health and beauty hacks to be found in nature, and the crew at one of Chandler's small businesses wants to share these with the community.

Desert Sage Herbs hosts a variety of learning opportunities, and one that it has scheduled for early April will be all about crafting body care products using essential oils. It will run throughout the day, and everyone will go home with a selection of items to enjoy on their own.

The learners in the activity will discover how essential oils and other naturally sourced ingredients can be used to prepare a variety of products. They will learn how to craft pain relief gels, body lotions, balms, aromatherapy spritzers, hand soap and even candy and other snacks. To help the attendees get started on their own, a discount will be offered for any purchases made on site on the day of the event.

Everyone will receive copies of handouts and recipes they can use in their own kitchen. Stationery printers will be able to provide a wide selection of printing services that may be useful to event organizers.

Tickets for this day of learning how herbs can be used for health and beauty are available now, and the early bird price, which will be available until March 20, starts at $115. The function will be held at 1728 North Alma School Road on April 3, beginning at 10:00 am.
