Once they have unlaced their combat boots for the last time, a special Chandler area event will provide a way for the community to offer them a helping hand with the load many veterans still carry.
The organizers of the WeSERV Salute to Veterans Trunk or Treat Car Show will be hosting a family-friendly show and shine, and the activity will welcome a variety of makes, years, and models. The public can get in on the fun of the day in a variety of ways, and tickets to enter a vehicle are $25.
People at the celebration will be able to view the entries on display and meet their owners, and explore a variety of vendors setting up shop. A DJ will supply the music, and food trucks will also be on site. Raffles and prize draws have been planned, and the exhibitors might like to dress in costume and hand out candy and the treats to the kids.
To thank the vehicle owners for their support and participation, those who register before October 11th will receive both a T-shirt and dash plaque printed with graphic design prepared for the event. The net proceeds from the day will be donated to various charities that support veterans.
