A major festival is planned for Casa Grande, though organizers are labeling the event as “tentative” at this stage.
The upcoming Casa Grande Cowboy Days & O'Odham Tash is described as the “Most Western Week of the Year” in the city. Among the events being planned are a parade, roping contests, a carnival, several rodeos, all paying tribute to the colorful history of Casa Grande.
The carnival will run through the whole week beginning the day ahead other festival, with the other events taking one or two days. The carnival is run by Kastl Amusements and offers typical carnival food such as funnel cakes; kiddie rides; and rides for everyone, including a new attraction, the Hyper Loop. A chance to see and purchase Native American arts and crafts will also be part of the festivities.
At present, the carnival is scheduled to start at 5:00 pm on February 12, and wind down February 21, at 8:00 pm. The hours vary from day to day. The breakaway and calf roping event is February 12, and the O'Odham Tash Parade is set for February 13, at 10:00 am, in downtown Casa Grande. The O'Odham Tash Rodeo is February 13 and 14, and the Mike Cervi Memorial Roping Contest is February 16 and 17. Finally, the Ranch Rodeo is February 21 and 22. Brochure printing can be used to create colorful programs for events like this.
