Casa Grande to host youth pottery classes

Pottery classes for children and teens are being held at the ArtMobile Creative Center in Casa Grande this summer.

The basics of clay sculpture will be taught, including techniques such as coil construction, making a pinch pot, and slab building. From clay masks to rock-like statues and colorful bowls, a variety of different creations can be made.

With an environment that encourages social connection, creativity, and free expression, the students will be tasked with exploring the medium of clay through a series of projects. The hands-on activities may involve the use of a pottery wheel, paint, and sculpting tools.

Held on multiple dates throughout the months of June and July, the cost is $10 per class, which includes clay supplies, kiln firings, and instructions. Online registration also provides flexible attendance options, including buying tickets for just a single class, a few, or all of them, if desired.

Art classes like this may choose to use printing services to create instruction sheets, crafting templates, and supply lists.

Summer Clay Creations Youth Pottery Classes are happening Wednesdays through Thursdays, June 3 through July 9, with the 5 to 12 age group held from 10:00 am to 11:15 am and the 13 to 18 age group held from 11:30 am to 12:45 pm. All the classes are being held at the ArtMobile Creative Center at 422 N Florence St. Suite 1 in Casa Grande.
