Tribute concert tips hat to country legend in Casa Grande

A Toby Keith tribute band is performing at Casa Grande’s Paramount Theatre this January.

Toby - The Experience is performed by Hollywood Yates as he channels the late country star, singing hits like Should’ve Been a Cowboy, I Love This Bar and How Do You Like Me Now.

Equipped with his American Flag-decorated acoustic guitar, Yates captures the unconventional swagger of Keith through the various stages of his career, complete with his signature cowboy hat and boots.

The performance comes on the heels of other performances by Yates throughout Arizona, including in Sun Lakes Payson, Mesa and Apache Junction, as well as a late December performance in Lakeland, Florida. Other shows are lined up throughout the year, through April of 2026.

Yates, a professional rodeo clown and bullfighter, he’s also appeared as Wolf on television’s American Gladiators and includes both singing and acting in his repertoire. He still performs occasional bullriding and rodeo events to this day, in addition to his ongoing singing career.

Beginning as an Elvis impersonator at the age of 7, Yates performed as a child at multiple nightclubs owned by his father growing up. He expanded his range to include covering songs by other artists along the way.
