The Case Grande Main Library is hosting a month-long StoryWalk Scavenger Hunt this winter.
Beginning at the library and stretching into the adjacent Peart Park, the scavenger hunt incorporates the children’s book “I Spy Love,” with the objects having a Valentine’s Day theme.
To join the event, participants must get a scavenger hunt sheet at the library’s front desk, follow the Signs throughout Peart Park, find the hidden items according to the checklist, and return the completed sheet to the library for a prize or piece of candy.
The family-friendly event is aimed at encouraging literacy, physical activity, and enjoying the outdoors. No fee or registration is required.
Peart Park, located right next to the library and where the majority of the scavenger hunt takes place, is known for its grassy green fields, tall trees, and nature-viewing opportunities. The park allows free-roaming pets and attracts dog owners.
Picnicking areas, shaded pavilions and dog waste stations are among the amenities available at Peart Park, which has no entry fee. The park, which is open daily from 5:00 am to 11:00 pm, is also a popular spot for birdwatching. Children’s activities like this may choose to use flyer printing for cost-effective promotional material in the community.
The StoryWalk Scavenger Hunt is happening from February 2 to 28 at the Casa Grande Main Library at 449 N Drylake St in Casa Grande, and the adjacent Peart Park.
