Signage to change on Casa Grande plaza
Evergreen Development wants to revise its sign plan for Mission Plaza.
The developer's comprehensive plan has already been approved, but it wants to have it amended. This will allow it to accommodate two new projects that are currently being built.
The first is Raising Cain, a chicken restaurant located at 2461 East Florence Boulevard. The second, as yet unnamed, is a 6,023 square-foot building that is designated as a mixed-use office and retail building, with room for a number of retail tenants.
If approved, the amendment would allow Raising Cane to have extra sign space, and extra wall space, in addition to a monument sign measuring 12 square feet. The amendment would also allow for the relocation of an 11-foot tall multitenant sign.
According to reports by city staffers, Casa Grande's sign code does allow amendments to be made to the plans for commercial projects, if the developments' frontages occupy more than one entire block. This is the case with Mission Plaza, where the two new projects are located.
The developer might consider working with local brochure printers to create a booklet describing Mission Plaza as a whole, as well as highlighting the new additions. They could make it available to commercial realtor to present to clients looking for office or retail space in Casa Grande.
