Registration system open for Casa Grande golf tournament
Casa Grande golfers who have been hoping for an excuse to spend a day out in the sun will be able to do so when they register for a local fundraising tournament.
The 15th annual Drive Fore Disabilities is right around the corner, and its charity of choice is The Opportunity Tree, which provides support opportunities and advocacy for those living with developmental and intellectual disabilities. The event is open to anyone interested.
Those who register for the day can sign up on their own or as a part of a team of four, and the green fees, range balls, the use of a cart, and lunch are all included. Golfers are asked to be registered and ready to play by 7:30 am on its scheduled date, and the call to the carts will take place at 7:40 am. The shotgun start is set for 8:00 am, and there are various challenges on the agenda.
A golf tournament or similar activity can be a fun way for an organization to raise funds. Prizes, swag for the golfers, and other promotional products can all be crafted by local printers.
This day of teeing off for a cause will be taking place at the Dave White Municipal Golf Course on Saturday, February 24. More details can be found through its online listing, and the final date to register to play is February 9.
