Clinic to offer low-cost rabies vaccines

A clinic planned for Casa Grande will help to keep local pets safe.

The spread of rabies, which is a viral disease that impacts domestic and wild animals as well as humans, can be controlled through the use of a widely available vaccine. A clinic that will offer free and low-cost rabies vaccinations has been scheduled by Pinal County Animal Care and Control, and it will be held at its location at 1150 South Eleven Mile Corner Road. This service will be available for six hours with a lunch break at noon, and advance registration is not required.

The vaccines that will be available at the clinic will be for rabies and Bordetella, and these will be offered free of charge with the purchase of a license. They may also be paid for separately. All dogs must be leashed, and each cat will need to be in a carrier.

Offering discounted or free animal care services is one of the ways a shelter can support the community it serves. A flyer printing company will be able to prepare publications that help to get the word out to the public about such activities.

The Pinal County Animal Care and Control Dog and Cat Vaccine Clinic will be on offer on June 11. More information, including details about timings, can be found on its online listing.
