Harbor Freight Tools, which operates 13 stores throughout Arizona, has come to Casa Grande, making the new location its first store in Pinal County. The 14th store is now open on Florence Boulevard.
Kevin Miller, the manager of the new location, notes that the market for tools is growing, and the store is well-positioned to entice customers from both Tucson and Phoenix. Harbor Freight sells air tools, garden and lawn equipment, household supplies, power tools, and auto replacement parts. The chain has its headquarters in Calabasas, California.
Miller also said that the company has been trying to enter the market in Casa Grande for more than two years, but had to wait until real estate became available. He envisions the area as being profitable for Harbor Freight because of the good weather, and the fact that many visitors come to the area. Miller says he is glad to be in Casa Grande, and looks forward to working with the community.
Harbor Freight’s budget prices and large selection of tools (it has more than 5,000 in stock) have enabled it to open 67 stores in 2013. The store is open seven days per week.
Miller could work with a banner printing company to create a festive banner to hang above the door to welcome customers and advise them of what the store can provide.
