Residents looking for great bargains have a brand new place to shop in the area.
The Casino Pawn and Gold chain of pawn shops has opened a location in Casa Grande, the first site outside “the Valley” – the nickname given to the Phoenix metropolitan area. According to Isabeau Rivera, who manages the new store, the chain has 10 locations in Phoenix, and has decided it is time to expand.
The name of the store was the idea of Alfonso Larriva, who is Casino Pawn's CEO. He took the title from a nearby casino, knowing that it was unusual and would bring people in. The shop's main focus is on selling and buying silver and gold jewelry, as well as scrap metal, but it does also accept items for pawn, and offers auto title loans.
The shop has only been open for approximately two months but, according to Rivera, it is already becoming known for its collection of Blu-ray disks and DVDs. Household electronics are also proving to be very popular with customers, some of whom are becoming regulars.
Unlike most pawn shops, Casino Pawn accepts returns, if the customer brings the item back within seven days, and has the receipt.
Since the business is new and unusual, the management might want to work with a postcard printing company to create a mailer for area residents, announcing the opening and giving hours.
