Spring brings a series of concerts to Casa Grande, and this year the next performance promises to be the Real Thing.
That's because The Real Thing Band is on the schedule for the event. The group is a variety band that formed in Phoenix in 2012, and played their debut performance in Tempe. The show was a huge success that ended with the audience giving the band a standing ovation. Now, they play more than 100 shows annually, traveling throughout the country, with a repertoire that includes genres like blues, jazz, Motown, soul, country, pop, rock, the Top 40, and current .
The band features lead singers Jessica and Melisza Gransbergen, who are sisters, backed up by career musicians Dowell Davis on drums, Peter Gransbergen on bass, Ervie Isom-McMaster on keyboards, and Terry Bussoletti on guitar.
A review of a Real Thing concert says:
“I've got to tell you that we were completely blown away by The Real Thing . . . The talent of the singers was out of this world and the range of songs you played was so impressive.”
At the time of writing, the concert is still set for April 17, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, at the Casa Grande Community Recreation Center. The event is free, and attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets to be comfortable as they enjoy the music. Flyer printing can be used to create handouts for events like this.
