Casa Grande gets ready for the Fourth
The 4th of July holiday will truly be a holi-DAY, as Casa Grande is planning a celebration that starts in the morning and runs well after dark.
The Community Services Department of the City of Casa Grande is inviting everyone in the city to come and celebrate the Fourth of July with a day full of events suitable for all members of the family. The fun starts in the mid-morning, when the Palm Island Family Aquatic Center will offer half-priced admission for several hours. The pool is on North Brown Avenue, and will be charging $1 adult admission and 50ยข for children. Pool staff members will be the hosts for contests and special games, as well as providing the opportunity for patrons to enjoy open swim time.
In the evening, the fun continues at the Paul Mason Sportsplex. There, staff members will be the hosts for activities including contests, music, water slides, inflatables, and relay races. Vendors of all kinds will also be on hand. Attendees will be able to purchase a variety of food from concessionaires as well, and SRP and the City will present a fireworks display to cap off the fun.
The special hours at Palm Island are 10:00 am until 2:00 pm, and the gates at the Sportsplex are set to open at 6:30 pm, with fireworks blasting off at 9:00 pm. Banner printing is an excellent resource for creating decorations for this type of event.
