Casa Grande event to help animals find forever homes

Pinal County Animal Care and Control helps to make sure every companion animal in the area has a loving home, and to help make that happen, it will be hosting a special event.

For one day in April, a venue in Casa Grande will welcome an adopt-a-thon, which will help cats, dogs and other pets connect with a new home to call their own. It will be open to the public for six hours and even if they cannot adopt a companion animal, community members are encouraged to stop by and enjoy the activity.

The plans for the occasion include animal meet-and-greets, as well as free microchipping. An assortment of small businesses will be on site along with a food truck, and those who attend the function will be able to support these local small companies. The Pinal County Sheriff's Office has lent its support to the activity.

Overcrowding is an issue faced by many animal shelters, and a community event gives them a chance to help their charges find forever homes. Promoting a not-for-profit function may be made easier with assistance from a poster printing company.

The Clear the Shelter adoption event hosted by Pinal County Animal Care and Control will begin at 10:00 am on April 23. The celebration will be on offer at 1150 South Eleven Mile Corner Road.
